ABOUT US
Avondrust Riding Centre is owned by Marian and Fanie Nel and is situated in Zwavelpoort Pretoria in tranquill surroundings. Marian manages the day to day activities, scheduling lessons as well as taking care of sick and injured horses. As from 1 April 2010 Marian is involved fulltime which ensures that there is 24 hour supervision. Fanie takes care of the maintenance, website development and bookkeeping.
We initially started our riding school during November 2000 with four horses and one pony - mainly with the idea to give family and friends the opportunity to share in the joy of horse riding.
Due to popular demand for a non-competitive environment, we have expanded and now have a great variety of schooled horses and ponies catering to everybody's needs. We cater for young and old who can either be beginners or more experienced riders. We are all involved in giving the lessons and now offer daily lessons except on Mondays - the horses also needs a rest!
We also have a variety of stables and offer quality stabling in roomy and well ventilated stables. Our grooms are well trained and we will all attend to your horse with the utmost care and compassion.
